Trying to get new Bio Mini Plus 2 to work with BioStar V1.93

I have Biostar V1.93 which had an old BioMini Fingerprint scanner That old BioMini fingerprint scanner had stopped working so I installed a new BiominiPlus 2 fingerprint scanner today. It works ok when using the Biomini_DemoVC utility. However when I try fingerprint scan in Biostar Software, the image is garbled and the fingerprint doesnt register. How can I solve this please.
